Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Card Terms and Conditions

The following are the terms and conditions applicable to Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Cards (the “Terms”).  Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Cards (each a “Promo eGift Card” and, collectively, “Promo eGift Cards”) are issued by MI Fulfillment Services, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company (“MIFS”, “we” or “us”). MIFS is an affiliate of Marriott International, Inc. (“Marriott”). The terms “Cardholder”, “you” and “your” refer to the person who accepts or uses the Promo eGift Card. The Terms govern your use of Promo eGift Cards. By accepting or using a Promo eGift Card, you agree to be bound by these Terms. MIFS may update these Terms from time to time at its discretion. MIFS will provide the updated Terms by posting the updated Terms on this page, and the updated Terms will be effective upon posting. The posting of the updated Terms will constitute notice to you of the updated Terms. Please check back to review the current Terms prior to use, acceptance or transacting with your Promo eGift Card.

 

1.      Redemptions

  • Promo eGift Cards may be redeemed for stays, as well as at participating retail, spa, golf, and food and beverage outlets, and meetings expenses at hotels operating under the following Marriott brands (collectively, “Eligible Brands”):
    • AC Hotels by Marriott®, Aloft®, Autograph Collection® Hotels, Courtyard®, Delta Hotels and Resorts®, EDITION®, Element®, Fairfield Inn & Suites®, Four Points® by Sheraton, Gaylord Hotels®, JW Marriott®, Le Méridien®, Marriott Executive Apartments®, Marriott Hotels®, Marriott Vacation Club®, Moxy Hotels , Protea Hotels by Marriott®, City Express by Marriott, Renaissance® Hotels,  Residence Inn®,  Sheraton®, SpringHill Suites®, St. Regis®, The Luxury Collection®, The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve®TownePlace Suites®, Tribute Portfolio™, W®, and Westin®
  • The following brands in the Marriott portfolio DO NOT accept Promo eGift Cards:
    • Bvlgari Hotels and Resorts, Design Hotels™, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, The Ritz-Carlton Destination Club®, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, and The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.
  • Unless otherwise indicated, Promo eGift Cards may be redeemed for stays, as well as at participating retail, spa, golf, and food and beverage outlets, and meetings expenses at the All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy® properties identified on https://all-inclusive.marriott.com that operate under one of the Eligible Brands.
  • Promo eGift Cards may be redeemed on the following participating retail sites toward the purchase of Marriott retail branded merchandise for U.S. residents only (“Marriott Bonvoy Boutiques”):
    • Shopmarriott.com, westinstore.com, sheratonstore.com, collectrenaissance.com, shopcourtyard.com, fairfieldstore.com, ritzcarltonshops.com, stregisboutique.com, curatedbyjw.com, shopedition.com, gaylordhotelsstore.com, luxurycollectionstore.com, WHotelsStore.com and shopfourpoints.com.
  • Promo eGift Cards are not redeemable at third-party travel booking sites or any other websites or locations unless specifically indicated in these Terms.
  • Please note that while Cards are usable at the Eligible Brands and Marriott Bonvoy Boutiques listed above, they may not be usable at non-affiliated third-party establishments that are located within or on the same property as Eligible Brands (e.g., coffee shops, boutiques, etc.). Eligible Brands and Marriott Bonvoy Boutiques are subject to change in MIFS’ sole discretion.
  • No photocopies of ​Promo eGift Cards will be honored.
2.      Promo eGift Cards; Restrictions
  • Promo eGift Cards expire at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on the date stated on the face of your Promo eGift Card and this date and time will NOT be extended.
  • Promo eGift Cards have value up to the balance until used by you or the expiration date on your Promo eGift Card.  Promo eGift Card has NO VALUE on or after the expiration date indicated on your Promo eGift Card.
  • Promo eGift Card is a prepaid promotional egift card, not a credit card or debit card.
  • Promo eGift Cards are issued in United States Dollars.   If you make a purchase at an establishment in a foreign currency, the purchase price will be converted into U.S. dollars by us or our agents. Unless a particular rate is required by applicable law, you authorize us to choose a conversion rate that is acceptable to us when tendering the Promo eGift Card in another country. Currently, the conversion rate we use for a transaction in a foreign currency is no greater than the highest conversion rate identified by us or our agents from customary banking sources on the conversion date or the prior business day. This conversion rate may differ from rates in effect on the day of your transactions. We will not charge a conversion fee for transactions made in foreign currencies.
  • Promo eGift Card is not redeemable for cash in any amount except when otherwise required by applicable law.
  • Promo eGift Card cannot not be used for the purchase of another Marriott Gift Card or combined with any other promotional offers, provided, that Promo eGift Cards may be combined with certain rate promotions at Eligible Brands. 
  • Promo eGift Card becomes inactive upon use of all Promo eGift Card value or upon the expiration date, whichever occurs first.
  • Promo eGift Card may not be used for deposit, advance purchases or to secure or confirm a reservation.
  • Each transaction, including any applicable federal, state or local taxes, will be debited against your Promo eGift Card balance. If a transaction exceeds the Promo eGift Card balance, the Cardholder must pay the remaining balance with another payment method.
  • Promo eGift Cards cannot be reloaded; resold; exchanged for any other Card; used for payment outside of Eligible Brands and Marriott Bonvoy Boutiques; or used for unauthorized advertising, marketing, sweepstakes, promotional or commercial purposes.
  • Promo eGift Cards may not be transferred, resold or regifted.
  • Promo eGift Cards are not transferable by the intended recipient who was sent the Promo eGift Card by us. The intended recipient’s name shown on the Promo eGift Card must be present in order to redeem the Promo eGift Card at an Eligible Brand location.
  • You agree to not use Promo eGift Cards in any manner that is unlawful, misleading, deceptive, unfair, or otherwise harmful to MIFS, Marriott or their respective customers. MIFS reserves the right, without notice to you, to void or deactivate your Promo eGift Card(s), suspend or terminate Cardholder accounts, request alternative forms of payment, suspend or terminate the use of your Promo eGift Cards, cancel or limit orders, and bill alternative forms of payment if we suspect Promo eGift Cards were obtained, used, or associated with a Cardholder account unlawfully, fraudulently, or otherwise in violation of these Terms.
  • You may not redeem a Promo eGift Card if you are not the intended recipient. An example of when you are the intended recipient is if you received the Promo eGift Card as a gift from us. You are not the intended recipient if your name is not on the Promo eGift Card or if you fraudulently deceived the intended recipient into giving or selling you a Promo eGift Card (even if they willingly do so at the time of transfer).
3.      Risk of Loss
  • Neither MIFS nor any of its affiliates (collectively, the “Company”) is responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed Promo eGift Cards, or if any Promo eGift Card is used without your permission.
  • Safeguard your Promo eGift Card as it has value.  The Company will not restore any value on Promo eGift Card that was lost in any of the foregoing circumstances except as follows:
    • Promo eGift Cards must be registered on gifts.marriott.com/login upon receipt.
    • If a Promo eGift Card is lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed or used without your permission, you must immediately notify the Company by contacting Marriott GiftCards Customer Service or by reporting such activity on the Marriott GiftCards website (gifts.marriott.com). Any value remaining on the registered Promo eGift Card, at time reported, will be returned to the registered owner on a new Promo eGift Card. NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR AMOUNTS DEBITED FROM YOUR PROMO EGIFT CARD BEFORE YOU NOTIFY THE COMPANY. You agree to give MIFS all reasonable information to help make a complete investigation of the loss, theft or unauthorized use of the Promo eGift Card.
    • If a Promo eGift Card is reported as lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed or used without permission after the expiration date on your Promo eGift Card, your Promo eGift Card will not be replaced.

5.      Limitation of Liability
  • TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO PROMO EGIFT CARDS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, IN THE EVENT A PROMO EGIFT CARD IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND MIFS’ SOLE LIABILITY, WILL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF THAT PROMO EGIFT CARD.
6.      Choice of Law and Venue
  • Any disputes arising out of or related to the Promo eGift Cards or these Terms will be handled individually without any class action, and will be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflicts of law rules. The exclusive jurisdiction for any claim or action arising out of or relating to the Promo eGift Cards or these Terms may be filed only in the state or federal courts located in the State of Maryland, United States.
7.      General Terms
  • MIFS reserves the right to institute additional security and verification procedures at the time of Promo eGift Card redemption for fraud prevention and regulatory compliance purposes.
  • All Terms are applicable to the extent permitted by law. If any of these Terms are deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that unenforceable term will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining Terms.

Q. What can a Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Card be used for?
A. At participating locations, Promo eGift Cards can be used for stays, dining, spa, golf and more. Please contact hotel directly about acceptance guidelines prior to your visit or stay. Only the intended recipient whose name is on the Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Cards may redeem the Promo eGift Card.
Q. Do I have to be staying at the hotel to use my Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Card?
A. No, Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Cards can be used by the intended recipient at participating properties to pay for dining, spa, golf and more even if you are not a guest at the property.
Q. Does the entire value of the Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Card have to be redeemed at once?
A. No, the Promo eGift Card may be used multiple times until the entire value has been redeemed or the Promo eGift Card expires, whichever occurs first.
Q. Will I receive cash back if I do not spend the entire value of the Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Card?
A. Promo eGift Cards are not redeemable for cash except when otherwise required by law.
Q. What if the total bill exceeds the value of my Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Card?
A. If your bill exceeds the amount of your Promo eGift Card, you are responsible for the remaining amount with another form of payment.
Q. Can I redeem more than one Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Card in a single transaction?
A. Yes, you may use multiple Promo eGift Cards to pay for stays, services and eligible purchases.
Q. How do I present a Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Card to be used at a Marriott hotel?
A. The email or purchase receipt containing the Promo eGift Card number will need to be presented at the time of transaction. This may be a physical printout or an image on an electronic device. The person redeeming the Promo eGift Card must match the name of the intended recipient shown on the Promo eGift Card.
Q. Can I use a Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Card to guarantee room reservations?
A. No

Q. Can I replace my Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Card if it is lost or stolen or used without my permission?
A. MI Fulfillment Services, LLC nor any of its affiliates (collectively, the “Company”) is responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed Promo eGift Cards, or if any Promo eGift Card is used without your permission.

The Company will not restore any value on Promo eGift Cards that was lost in any of the foregoing circumstances except as follows:

  • Promo eGift Card must be registered on gifts.marriott.com/login upon receipt.
  • If a Promo eGift Card is lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed or used without your permission, you must immediately notify the Company by contacting Marriott GiftCards Customer Service or by reporting such activity on the Marriott GiftCards website. Any value remaining on the registered Promo eGift Card, at time reported, will be returned to the registered owner on a new Promo eGift Card with the same expiration date. NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR AMOUNTS DEBITED FROM YOUR PROMO EGIFT CARD BEFORE YOU NOTIFY THE COMPANY. You agree to give MIFS all reasonable information to help make a complete investigation of the loss, theft or unauthorized use of the Promo eGift Card.
Q. What happens to my Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Card if I report it as lost or stolen?
A. Once the Promo eGift Card has been reported as lost or stolen, the Promo eGift Card is deactivated and the balance is transferred to a new, registered Promo eGift Card with the same expiration date. The old Promo eGift Card will have no value and can no longer be used.

Q. Are Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Cards safe to buy through internet gift card resellers?
A. No. Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Cards are not transferrable and may not be resold.
Q. Can I get cash back on my Marriott Bonvoy Promotional eGift Card?
A. No. The Promo eGift Cards are not redeemable for cash unless otherwise required by law.
